Creates calm at home

comes from my middle name Giulia. It reflects my upbringing and the babysitting experiences I’ve gathered over the years, experiences I’m now eager to share with other families.
Where it all began
I was fortunate to grow up in a warm and loving environment. Thanks to my father’s hard work, our family was well taken care of, and my mother was always there for me and my younger sister: taking us to school, picking us up, and simply being present.
That constant presence created a natural sense of calm, allowing my younger sister and me to feel free in everything we did.
I realize that not every family has the option of a parent staying at home. That’s where Giuul aims to make a difference.
At Giuul, we believe in a fair sharing of caregiving responsibilities within the family. Sometimes that means handing off certain tasks. Giuul helps by matching one or more experienced family helpers with families, creating more calm and balance. My goal is to provide other families with the same sense of calm and support that I was fortunate to experience as a child.
"With Giuul, I want to share the positive childhood I had with others."
My experience
I started babysitting for the first time when I was twelve. In Den Bosch, where I grew up, and later in Amsterdam, I helped out with all kinds of families. But it actually started even earlier: in elementary school, I would spend my breaks with the youngest kids, in grades 1 and 2, simply because I enjoyed playing with them and taking care of them. That natural sense of care has always been there, and that’s how my passion for Giuul began at a young age.
That passion continued to grow during my Applied Psychology studies, where I learned how important safety, attachment, and structure are for a child’s development. Giuul was born from this combination of personal experience and professional expertise.
As a babysitter, I always wanted children to have a great time while their parents were away. At the same time, I thought it was important that parents came home to a neat house and noticed that a little extra had been done for them. That proactive approach is also the foundation of Giuul.
Our family helpers; the Giuuls
The family helpers we match with families, called our Giuuls, are just as caring, engaged, and proactive.
What has always been most important to me is truly being there for the child: not just as a babysitter, but as someone the child feels safe and comfortable with. That commitment forms the core of Giuul: attention to the child, trust for the parents, and a sense of calm at home.
